The Insurance and Indemnity Law Section hosted a memorable council meeting and summer mixer on a beautiful July evening at the picturesque Roostertail in Detroit. Against the backdrop of a stunning waterfront, attendees savored refreshing drinks and delectable small plates. An exciting highlight of the evening was Chair Rabih Hamawi's presentation of scholarship awards to our accomplished law student essay winners.
Our scholarship recipients were Pauls Toma, claiming the coveted first place with a generous $5,000 award, followed by Lauren Bolt in second place, securing a well-deserved $2,000, and Maryana Odisho in third place with a $1,000 scholarship. Notably, the winning essay earned a place of honor in our July Journal.
